News: How to get in on the lottery for $10 “Hamilton” tickets at the Fox

Hamilton, one of the most heralded Broadway shows in years, quickly sold out for its Fox Theatre run beginning later this month.

Hamilton is the hottest ticket of the season, and the May 22–June 10 run at the Fox Theatre sold out within minutes.

If you missed out, there is another way to score tickets: the #HAM4HAM lottery. Two days before each performance of the Broadway smash, 40 tickets for $10 each in the orchestra section will be sold by digital lottery.

Registering through the lottery can be done either through the Hamilton app or through the Hamilton website. Only one entry for each performance is allowed; repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded.

Registration for the lottery will open at 11 a.m. two days prior to the performance date and close for entry at 9 a.m. the day before each show.

Winner and non-winner notifications will be sent at approximately 11 a.m. the day prior to the performance via email and text. Each winning entrant may purchase up to two tickets online with a credit card by 4 p.m. the day of the show, then pick up their tickets at Will Call.

If you don’t win the lottery, there’s one last possibility: each performance may have a limited number of late release seats. Those will be announced on the Hamilton website and also through the Fox Theatre website.
