Joe Dreher painted this temporary outsize portrait of Terry Kearns in East Atlanta.
Terry Kearns, a.k.a. Architecture Tourist, is the bard of the art community. Always smiling, Zelig-like in his crewneck-sweatered ubiquity, he is the one shooting photos at events large and small, snapping buildings and corners of Atlanta most of us don’t even notice.
“These days I’m most interested in spaces that attract people, where they feel comfortable, where they want to go about how we experience a space,” he explained in an email. “I’d insert philosophical discussion here if I had one.”
You don’t need to, Terry. You know what they say about pictures.
