ArtsATL has received two new grants, $10,000 from MailChimp to fund minority writers and $26,000 from Fulton County Arts and Culture to support our general operating fund.
The Fulton County grant will go to ArtsATL’s general operations. “On behalf of ArtsATL, I want to express our gratitude for the Board of Commissioner’s continuing confidence,” said Kenzie Biggins, ArtsATL board chair. “We are also quite appreciative for the continuing support from MailChimp.”
The $10,000 MailChimp grant will go toward supporting ArtsATL’s commitment to using writers of color and developing minority writers. “Our dedication to publishing writers of color at ArtsATL is longstanding, and an investment in this priority would ensure that diverse critical perspectives remain central to our editorial mission,” ArtsATL development consultant Susannah Darrow wrote in her grant request.
