Felipe Barral is a storyteller who expresses himself in many ways –through his visual works (documentaries, films, video/art installations & TV shows), his music (both as a performer and composer), his art (painting and photography) and his writing (poetry, fiction and movie scripts). He is also a journalist with a Masters degree in Philosophy. Felipe is a bilingual producer creating content both in English and Spanish. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Producer/Director of IGNI Productions and the digital channel thegchannel.com. He is also a Supervising Features Producer at CNN International Productions. Felipe teaches his “Creative Production Philosophy & Style” to producers and children, and was recognized with Time Warner’s Richard D. Parsons Community Impact Award in 2014. He has received several awards and lately has been a guest speaker in film & TV production conferences. He has released 6 short films (The Book of Life, Inhabit, PIXEL, Desire, Dust House and touchME: Dida); several documentaries (including Louvre Atlanta, CNN’s Filling the Blank and CNN’s Crescedo); 3 books of poetry (Múrberon, El Libro de Isamar and Aion); several original scores (including Nosferatu, Metropolis and Filling the Blank); multimedia installations (including Fire Woman); and has performed live both in Chile and the United States.
