The sound of music will pervade the Woodruff Arts Center this weekend.
The Atlanta Opera will present Three Decembers, Jake Heggie’s 2008 opera about an aging star and her family, on the Alliance Theatre’s main stage.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic suite Scheherazade and Sibelius’s The Bard, and pianist Yefim Bronfman will perform Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto.
For the kids, the Alliance Theatre will present Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical, based on Mo Willems’ book, on its Hertz Stage. (The High has mounted a complementary exhibit of the beloved children’s book author’s illustrations.)
