Two sculptures by Mexican artist Yvonne Domenge, “Tree of Life” and “Kan,”  will be dedicated at a ceremony at 4 p.m. March 20 in Freedom Park at the corner of North Avenue and Oakdale Road. Blake Dalton/CORE dance will perform “Corazon Abriendo,” which, like the sculptures, is based on Mayan concepts.

The sculptures were in a sculpture exhibition in Chicago’s Millennium Park and are a gift from that organization to the city.  For more information, visit the Office of Cultural Affairs website.

Domenge will speak at 6 p.m.in Hill Auditorium at the High Museum.
